Are you actually anonymous?
Just because the url in your browser is different from the site you are viewing doesn't mean you are anonymous. There are many ways to make a page appear "proxified" when they are not.

If this is your ip address, then the proxy you are using is NOT working.
Bookmark this page and visit it with a proxy before you really use it.
Why would a proxy not hide my ip address?
There are a number of reasons why a proxy might not work.
- Hosting a public web proxy is an expensive endeavor. Proxy scripts, like PHProxy, are resource intensive and proxies, even new ones, get slammed with traffic. To get around the costs of running a real proxy while reaping the benefits of the traffic some website owners will make fake proxies.
- The script may simply be broken. While editing a site it is common for webmasters to accidentally "break" their own sites. Even one character, or the deletion of one character, can stop a script from working.
Remember: You are usually not completely anonymous by using a proxy. There are still ways to identify you and/or the sites you have visited. Use TOR to protect yourself from these methods.
